How winners are chosen
The Next Education Consultancyruns this contest to be fair and transparent. Here's exactly how winners are selected, checked, and announced.
The prize tiers
- Per match— for each match, one winner is drawn at random from everyone who predicted that match's result correctly.
- Daily— one winner drawn from everyone who was correct on any of that day's matches, so a busy match day gives you more chances.
- Weekly — a winner for each match week, by random draw or top points (announced for the week).
- Overall — the champion is the top of the final points leaderboard for the whole tournament.
Random draws are fair and recorded
Match, daily and weekly winners are picked by a random draw among everyone who predicted correctly — everyone correct has an equal chance. Every draw is recorded so the result can be independently re-checked later. There is no favouritism and no behind-the-scenes selection.
The overall winner & tie-breaks
The overall champion is whoever has the most points at the end of the tournament. If two players are tied on points, it is broken by who has more correct predictions, then by who reached that total first.
How a winner is declared
- Drawn — once a match (or day, week, or the tournament) is settled, the winner is drawn.
- Verified — an organiser checks the draw before anything is announced. Nothing is public until it is verified.
- Published — verified winners are then announced on the Winners page, and contacted using the details on their profile.
Claiming a prize
- Keep your profile contact details accurate — winners are contacted through them.
- Winners must respond with valid details within the stated window, or an alternate winner may be drawn.
- Prizes are non-transferable unless the Organiser states otherwise.
Final say
If a match is cancelled, abandoned, or a result is corrected, the Organiser may void the match, adjust points, and re-draw any affected winner — nobody gains or loses unfairly. In all matters relating to eligibility, results, draws, and prizes, the decision of The Next Education Consultancy (“the Organiser”) is final. This page sits alongside the contest Rules and Terms & Conditions.
